Storyline

Five years after the events of the Babylon 5 series, a technomage named Galen predicts an imminent attack by the Drakh, the old allies of the Shadows. Through dreams, a thief, a captain, and a president are brought together to head them off. The president is John Sheridan. Because of his irrational behavior, Sheridan's friends begin to wonder about his sanity. It's up to all of them and two prototype battlecruisers, the Excalibur and the Victory, to stop the fleet and their planet-killer. But is there more to the Drakh's plan? Trivia

According to Babylon 5 canon, the original Drakh plan had been to use the Death Cloud on Earth, and then use the plague on Minbar. However, when the Death Cloud was destroyed, the plague was the only significant weapon they had left. See more »

Goofs

The ship's badge of the EAS Charon is clearly seen in the background of a few scenes, which displays a "K" (it's model series letter). In addition, an identical "K" upper left arm patch can be seen on several crew members uniforms, but when the Charon is seen crossing the screen in one scene, her model series letter clearly displays a "C" on the forward hull. the music sucked hard
15 January 1999 | by maestro-14See all my reviews

"A Call to Arms" is a pretty good movie. Sorry that sounds kind of blah, but it's true. Entertaining, but not epic. Guess I kinda got spoiled on "In the Beginning", a vastly more thought-provoking and involving movie than this. But, I have to agree with a previous reviewer...the music was abysmal. This "The Fifth Element"-esque dribble almost literally caused pain to my ears. The music should complement and enhance the program, not distract from it, as this did. I sincerely hope the upcoming series pays attention to what works: a classical piece of some kind...something kind of dark and gloomy, since, after-all, the premise of the series is the death of mankind, with an uplifting fanfare for victories achieved by the crew. Then again, Hanson vocals would have been better than what was chosen. Change the music, and I'll watch as a devoted fan.
