The story of Milada Horáková, democratic pre-WW2 Czech politician first arrested and tried by the Nazis during the War and then the post-war Communist government for her refusal to cease her opposition activity and leave the country.
A brilliant series about the lives of a young group of people, who are best friends since their childhood in Jerusalem. They all moved together to live in the southern tel-avivian neighborhood 'florentine'. The series shows the confusion of a young person in a country that is in constant war. The way they deal with lose, they way they deny the truth especially to themselves, and the self destructive tendencies they have, which eventually affect other people in the group.Written by
An Israeli TV show, just ended its second season on the air. The shooting for the third season is being done. It's a great show, about 9 -10 20+ post army people (in Israel you have to attend the military) living in Florentine in Tel Aviv. It's the first Israeli TV Show which has gay people as main characters. The creator of the show, Eitan Fux, based one of the characters (Tomer) on some of his own life's experiences, as a gay man, and a starting film maker. The show is very successful in Israel, and if I remember correctly it even won an award in one of Israel's film festivals.
