Joe Christ's films are all comedies, and Sex, Blood and Mutilation is no exception. While many may feel that Christ is showing the body modification crowd as cool, or deep, in fact, he dryly laughs at the preposterous fools who practise scarification and/or mutilation. Make no mistake, this film is stomach-churning. Genitals are pierced, pulled, and removed. That's right, we meet a man, "Les Johnson" who VOLUNTARILY had his penis removed. He even braggs that his sex life is better than before his surgery. After all, all the sensation is in the gonads, not the penis. Christ proudly tells of the all the audience members who have fainted during this sequence. Highly recommended, for those with stout hearts. AND strong stomachs.
