One Direction's Liam Payne Surprises Sadie Robertson at 'DWTS' Rehearsal

One Direction's Liam Payne Surprises Sadie Robertson at 'DWTS' Rehearsal
Choreographed dance had been a boy band staple until One Direction hit the scene. Liam Payne explained why performing dances would be a bad idea for the group when he dropped in on Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson's Dancing With the Stars rehearsal.

News: Complete List of DWTS Winners

"I'm so happy we don't have to dance, because we've seen -- with the boy bands -- the rehearsals you have to do and we can barely go in and sing a song without doing something stupid," Liam said.

.@sadierob is a lucky gal! She's in the #DWTS finals and she & @MarkBallas met @onedirection's @Real_Liam_Payne!! pic.twitter.com/G8BhNCTpeN

— Official DWTS (@DancingABC) November 22, 2014

Despite being a little rusty, Liam indulged Sadie in doing the Quack Attack dance with her, thus being initiated into the Quack Pack - a name affectionately bestowed upon their fans.

"I'm officially in the Quack Pack!" he said.

Ranking All of Sadie Robertson's Duck Dynasty Dad-Approved DWTS Looks (so Far!)
Quack Pack, get ready for a fashion show! In addition to worrying about making sure she learns all of her dance steps and doesn't fall every Monday night, Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson has constantly had yet another matter on her mind on Dancing With the Stars: whether or not her costume will get her father Willie Robertson's seal of approval! Fortunately, Willie has yet to disapprove of any of Sadie's fun and age-appropriate looks, but has his strict dress code led the 17-year-old to wear some less-than-exciting outfits? Hey, on DWTS, skirts made completely of feathers are downright tame by comparison! Since there's been so much buzz surrounding Sadie's wardrobe on the ABC reality...

Sadie Robertson Bonds With Family, Mark Ballas in Dancing With the Stars Week 3 Photo Blog: See the Pics!
The Quack Pack is back! Sadie Robertson's Dancing With the Stars journey was very nearly cut short during the week two live results show on Sept. 23, but thanks to a reprieve from the voters (and a not-too-shabby score of 31 out of 40 from the judges) she and partner Mark Ballas lived to dance another day. The Duck Dynasty star's second performance — a jazz routine to Jason Aldean's "She's Country" — didn't go over so well with head judge Len Goodman, but Carrie Ann Inaba, [...]

'Big Brother 16' Recap: The Detonators Turn on Each Other
Congratulations, Britney Haynes, you no longer have to suffer with the knowledge that your alliance had the dumbest name of all-time. While she often mocked the stupidity of the name Quack Pack in season 14, that's nothing compared to the Rationale of Big Brother 16. The alliance itself has potential to make a big difference in the game, but the name is ridiculous and pompous, like something a bunch of philosophy majors would name their college alt-rock band. Let's just hope they don't immediately decide to cannibalize themselves like the Bomb Squad and the Detonators.

Entertainment Geekly is a weekly column that examines contemporary pop culture through a geek lens and simultaneously examines contemporary geek culture through a pop lens. So many lenses! Click here for past columns.

Last week I wrote a long and rant-y column about the Disney Myth, as constructed in Saving Mr. Banks and deconstructed in Escape From Tomorrow. In an effort to prove I’m not the world’s biggest grouch — and because I spent the past week in the metaphorical Disneyland known as “being back home with my family for the holidays” — I decided to try an experiment that

'BB14' Stars Break Down The Finale
Big Brother reunited the fifteen houseguests who were not expelled (sorry Willie!) last night for the season 14 finale, which saw Dan and Ian face-off in the final two!

As we now know, Ian emerged victorious -- but there has been some debate amongst fans if his gameplay truly deserved to best Dan's. I caught up with Dan, Ian, Danielle, Britney and Shane to talk about the jury's verdict, who truly deserved to win and if Danielle truly has a shot with Shane now that they're outside the house!

Big Brother 14 Has a Winner!

Big Brother 14 Has a Winner!
After 75 days, 16 houseguests and dozens of competitions, Big Brother 14 has a winner! Following last Thursday's elimination of their fellow Quack Pack alliance member Shane Meaney, the final three houseguests - Danielle Murphee, Ian Terry and returning player Dan Gheesling - battled it out for the final Head of Household of season 14. Spoilers ahead! Ian, 21, won the three-part competition and kept his deal with Dan, choosing to evict Danielle, who became the final member of the jury tasked with voting between the final two and awarding one of them the $500,000 grand prize. After a tense interrogation with Dan and Ian making their cases,

Big Brother 14 Finale: Past Champ Dan vs. Rookie Houseguests Ian and Danielle
"I hope you're not too disgusted with me," Dan Gheesling pleaded tonight on Big Brother 14 as he entreated the jury one last time to hand him the $500,000 prize. And that about sums up what we were down to Wednesday on the show's season finale (don't cry, CBS has renewed it for next summer!)—the crafty, manipulative season-10 winner vs. the slightly more conscientious Danielle Murphree and Ian Terry. "He's going to leave a man one way or another, " ousted veteran houseguest Mike "Boogie" Malin said of Quack Pack leader Ian, who claimed that Dan gave him his grandfather's gold cross as collateral to ensure that he wouldn't vote Ian off the...

'Big Brother': And the winner is...
Update: My full recap is live! The fourteenth season of Big Brother got off to a bad start with a poorly-conceived coaching twist. But after a few weeks, the coaches hit the reset button, and things got interesting. And then Dan found himself in a tight spot, and things got really interesting. In the last few weeks, Dan has run the Big Brother house like some demon combination of a Gilded Age political boss and a Mongolian warrior chieftain. He eradicated his enemies. He made final-two deals with everyone. It scarcely seemed to matter who won competitions — Dan had a

'Big Brother': And the evicted houseguest is...
The Big Brother House has become the Quack Pack House in the final days of this season. Out of the five original members of the worst-named alliance in Bb history, four survived into the final week — not a bad record. But tonight marked the turning point: The moment when the Quack Pack would be torn asunder by necessity. Who would Danielle nominate for eviction? And, more importantly, who would win the decisive veto competition? And, most importantly of all: Who would be walking out the door? Well, in the end Danielle nominated Dan and Ian for eviction, but only because Dan insisted,

'Big Brother 14' Spoilers: Danielle's Nominations And Pov Results

  • TVology
Now that the Big Brother feeds are finally back, shit is really getting crazy. We're trying to keep up, but we won't really know for sure until tonight's live eviction. You ready for this?

In last night's taped eviction, we saw Jenn walk out the door and Danielle win the Hoh after a gag-inducing luxary trip for her and Shane to some event with the U.S. women's gymnastics team. Seriously, since when does Shane like her? I don't think he's smart enough to play her, but hey, maybe he is. It's working. The girl is pathetically drooling all over him.

Anyway, let's get to what we didn't see: Danielle's nominations and the Pov competition. She nominated Dan and Ian, which shocked me for about two minutes until I remember how much Shane smoozed her during that trip outside the house.  Oh, and she won the Pov competition! What?!?

I started getting really,

'Big Brother' Eviction: Pov Winner Meets 'Fierce Five'

'Big Brother' Eviction: Pov Winner Meets 'Fierce Five'
There was a big reward on the line for the Pov competition on Wednesday's special eviction episode of "Big Brother," even if the houseguests didn't know exactly what they were in for. All they knew was that it awarded them an opportunity to get out of the house, and after more than two months that's all they needed to know.

Ian had nominated Jenn and Shane for eviction this week, with Dan secretly targeting Shane as a bigger threat in the finals. But Shane pulled out a victory in the Pov competition, with some help from Ian who wasn't privy to Dan's schemes. For his win, he got to choose one fellow houseguest to join him. He chose his "showmance" partner, Danielle.

The pair acted like maybe their feelings for one another were real -- only his were really in question -- as they got to meet the Us Women's Olympic gymnastics team.

'Big Brother' recap: The battle for the Pov and an Olympic-size prize
So, it's down to the final five, or what I like to call the Quack Pack and Jenn. Not that the Quack Pack is much of an alliance, as everyone except Shane seems to have a final two deal with Dan (and that may have happened and I just missed it), and Dan is eagerly rubbing his hands together in anticipation of stomping on their broken bodies on the way to the finish line. The crazy part is, of course, that every remaining hamster seems likely to smile up at him as he does it. "Gee, Dan, you're really good at...

'Big Brother 14': Jenn Arroyo sent to jury; new Head of Household

When "Big Brother 14" kicks off and Julie Chen informs us the hamsters have no idea she's there, she's not joking. At the taping of this eviction episode, the houseguests were caught totally off guard by Julie and the live audience -- Shane didn't have pants on. At least no one was in the shower.

Post Nominations

Shane and Jenn are on the block, not that it really matters that much once everyone plays for Veto. Jenn expresses disbelief that Dan keeps staying off the block -- no kidding, girl. It's called the Dan Mist. He's like a warlock or something.

Meanwhile, Shane has no idea that he's the real target. And in the on-going saga that is Danielle being delusional about a showmance, Danielle is starting to think maybe Shane is just not that into her. Uh, ya think?

Power of Veto

The Pov is flying through the air and assembling a puzzle.

'Big Brother': And the evicted houseguest is...
The final week of Big Brother 14 got off to a rollicking start tonight, with a special surprise eviction episode. Would the Quack Pack complete their Quack destiny of total Quack domination, and expel the lone floater hold-out Jenn from house? Or would Dan’s mad plan to backstab Shane come to fruition? Well, the votes are in, and… after Shane won the power of veto and was replaced on the block by Danielle, the Quack Pack knocked Jenn City out of the house. [Update: Read my full recap of the episode here.]

It’s perhaps not surprising to see Jenn go, considering what a non-entity she was in the first half of the summer.
