Three friends leave Milan by car heading south. Two of them are married to two sisters, the third one is going to marry the third sister. The marriage is going to take place in the villa of their vulgar but very rich father in law. They are also bringing him a work of modern art: a wooden leg worth millions even if it doesn't look like it. During the journey everything happens: the future groom falls in love with another woman, the leg is lost to a team of Moroccoian football players and then given back and a dog, belonging to the old man, is lost. The father in law gets angrier and angrier and when they get in front of the villa, he is waiting for them with a shotgun in his hands...Written by

Some sketches of the movie are taken by previous stage and TV shows of the trio: the climb on the mountain, the movie set on the tram, the gangsters and Count Dracula. The three latter scenes are intended as hommages to the trio's favourite movie genres, respectively neorealism, gangster movies and horror. See more »
Hilarious movie if you have an understanding of the culture and understand the language!
This movie was a hilarious movie if you understand the Italian language and culture! If you are merely watching it and relying on the subtitles you will not find it as funny since a lot is lost in the translation. I sat watching this movie with some friends and I was howling! They were sitting there just starring at me wondering what I found so funny. The difference between them and I....I understand the language and they don't! So if you have a friend that can translate it for you correctly then I say go for it, you will find that you will get some laughs in! The actors chosen to play each role were a good choice.....they all feed off of each other and this makes the movie even more better.
So if you have an understanding of the language then this is a funny movie to watch!
