Storyline

Edward, Florence, and their family are on vacation, headed through the desert toward someplace to fish. That starts a series of hapless encounters with customers, including the local sheriff willing to pay a nickel to have his wiper blade replaced. Florence revels in the business's motto, "Service with a smile," but Edward would rather be fishing. Will he ever get his chance - and what about that smile? Written by <jhailey@hotmail.com>

Fairly Good Short Comedy
25 June 2001 | by Snow LeopardSee all my reviews

Edgar Kennedy's comic timing helps to make "Gasoloons" a reasonably funny short comedy. Kennedy and a carload of passengers stop to fill up, and when they notice that the gas station is up for sale cheap, they decide to buy it and try to run it themselves. They aren't very good at it, and "Kennedy's Super Service" generally gives its customers more laughs than service. While most of what follows is rather predictable, it comes off pretty well.

It's worth a look for those who like these old short comedies.
