Trivia

The location used as the Academy campus was known as the Provincial Lunatic Asylum (later known as Woodlands), operating from 1878 until 1996. "Police Academy: The Series" was one of the first productions to film at Woodlands after the asylum's closure. Several crew members believe the buildings were haunted, noting strange occurrences while on location. In July 2008, the entire Woodlands compound was destroyed by a massive fire that some believe was deliberately lit. See more »

User Reviews

very funny, but not quality by any means
11 August 2004 | by See all my reviews

Recently I saw Heather Campbell in a movie and thought she looked familiar. I looked her up and found out she was Annie on this wacky show. My favorite things about the show were the romance between Annie and Casey, and Casey's attempts to annoy his superiors. Sgt. Jones was back doing his crazy sound effects from the movies, the Tackleberry twins (nephews of the movie Tackleberry, so much alike though one was white and one black) were inseparable and hilarious, and what Luke lacked in brains he made up for in size. Helfinger, too dumb to be in charge of anything, somehow managed to run this place in a manner reminiscent of MASH's Col. Henry Blake.

This was fun while it lasted, but I guess it didn't deserve to. We need shows like this from time to time.
