A down-on-his-luck film director sets fire to his home so he can collect the insurance money and fund his new movie. But crime apparently does pay, because once the rumor mill gets wind of his plans, everyone suddenly wants a slice of his new project's pie. Written by Anonymous
Very offbeat black comedy like a low budget version of The Player with the great John Savage starring as a former big time director who literally has his house burnt down to finance a movie. The beginning of the film is a bit slow but then it turns into a manic rush of madcap highjinx watching Savage with his B Producer 'uh nut ball friend (James Wilder) trying to get their movie made. Great cast with even a cameo by Mick Fleetwood.
