Trivia | Based on the true story of The Ideal Maternity Home (IMH). The IMH began as a home, for local couples and a discreet place for unwed mothers, both groups could find maternity care, there. The homeboperated from 1928 until 1947 by William Peach Young and his wife Lila Gladys Young; William was a chiropractor and Lila was a midwife, who also billed herself as an obstetrician.
