When a multimillionaire man's son is kidnapped, he cooperates with the police at first but then turns the tables on the kidnappers when he uses the ransom money as a reward for the capture of the kidnappers.

When Murtaugh and Riggs are running from the tanker explosion they pause to look before realizing the tanker is landing on their cruiser. But as they run away their cruiser that was completely shot up doesn't have a single bullet hole in it. See more »
The magic is lost in this fourth and what is assumed from the end credits, final venture for director Donner and stars Gibson and Glover in a series that began back in 1987. This film carries over all the elements of action and comedy that have made this series so successful and entertaining. However, it's forced too much here with the addition of Rock, who does his unusual brand of comedy, although I read somewhere that if you do comedy, you're supposed to be funny! I may be wrong!
