For millions of couples, conceiving a child happens in the privacy of their own bedroom. But for others, becoming pregnant has been a great and costly struggle. However, with today's technology, science can now afford future parents many options, sperm donation, in vitro fertilization, fertility treatments that can result in the birth of twins, triplets or even quintuplets and even embryo selection that can determine the sex of your child and potential birth defects. Women who thought getting pregnant in their thirties was impossible can now conceive into their forties and even their fifties. For many parents, these alternatives offer new hope in having children, but are we now manufacturing products instead of making families? With the help of science, have we simply gone too far?
