Storyline
Plot Summary |
Seymour is a nerdy junior high student who is frequently tries to get the attention of his crush, Audrey, the daughter of the owner of a flower shop where he works after school. Despite his attempts, Seymour is thwarted by the bully Paine Driller. Seymour finds a fossilized Venus Fly Trap, naming it Audrey Jr. The plant, who has the ability to talk and hypnotize people, attempts to rally plants to rise up against the human race when he learns that they eat vegetables. Did You Know?
Trivia | A set of animation cells which sold on eBay in 2017 showed that the opening credits were originally supposed to end with Junior chomping on a portion of the show's title. He then bites into the right side of the screen and stretches it to the left until the entire screen goes black. As it was broadcast, the sequence faded out before any of this occurred. See more » |
