MPAA Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violent action and some sensuality

Sex & Nudity

  • It is all extremely mild, as everything is mostly implied.
  • A scene where a male and female character are laying on top of each other in a bath tub, fully clothed but the woman has lots of cleavage. Her breasts are focused on with the camera, and at one point they are very close to the man's face and it is commented on. A ton of innuendo.
  • Woman sits on a man's lap in a vehicle before they kiss.
  • A woman undresses in front of a man, to change into a dress he got her. They don't show nudity, but they focus on the man staring at her and his face looks aroused.
  • Nyah wears a top with no bra exposing the outline of her nipples through the fabric. She is shown multiple times in it including running.
  • Ethan and Nyah sleep in a bed together. They are covered by the sheets, but he has no shirt on and neither does she. No nudity is shown.
  • Nyah wears some very revealing clothing and a lot of cleavage. She and Ethan end up in a bathtub in a sexual position when trying to hide.

Violence & Gore

  • The film is based on a deadly virus called Chimera, a scene is shown, showing the effects of such a virus.
  • A man has his neck broken.
  • A plane crashes.
  • An extensive gun battle takes place, many are shot, killed, etc.
  • Ambrose tortures Stamp by threatening to cut his finger off with a cigar-cutter. Eventually he cuts just the absolute tip of the finger, blood is briefly seen, Stamp gasps in pain, and then the scene cuts. And later on, Stamp has a bandage over his finger, blood is shown only once, but for a majority of the film, there isn't any blood.
  • Many people are punched, kicked, etc.
  • Later, near the end of the movie there is a 3-5 minute fight involving guns and fists. Very little blood is shown during this scene.


  • Curses like "damn" and "hell". The British profanity "bloody" is used a few times.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • One character holds a cigar, and cuts of its end with a cigar cutter.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • At the beginning of the film there is a moderately intense airplane scene that might disturb younger viewers.
  • When the effects of the virus are shown, it might frighten young children.
  • The final fight between Ethan and Ambrose is very brutal

Violence & Gore

  • There's an intense motorcycle chase where some bad guys die, and this leads to a brutal final fight in which Ethan is slashed with a knife several times, and Ambrose is hit in the head with a rock and shot.
  • Nyah injects herself, leaving a mark where the injection has taken place.
  • Ambrose accidentally kills one of his own men.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Towards the end, Ethan tricks Ambrose into killing Stamp.
