Storyline

Four astronauts have their lives changed forever, when they end up being hit by a cloud of cosmic radiation. Reed Richards now has the ability to stretch his body like elastic. Sue Storm (Alba) is now the invisible woman. Johnny Storm becomes the human touch and Ben Grimm becomes the 'Thing', a man made out of rock. But there is one problem. The journey's sponsor, Victor Von Doom has also been affected and with full power, is a dangerous force which needs to be stopped, before it's too late. Written by Film_Fan

Trivia

In 2003, Peyton Reed pitched a Fantastic Four film to Fox, describing it as "A Hard Day's Night (1964) with superheroes." The proposed cast was Alexis Denisof as Reed Richards, Charlize Theron as Sue Storm, Paul Walker as Johnny Storm, John C. Reilly as Ben Grimm, and Jude Law as Dr. Doom. See more »

Goofs

(at around 57 mins) When Von Doom goes to grab a towel in his bathroom he receives an electric shock to his right hand but looks to the left, all other shots in the rest of the scene show him looking left and it being on his left hand. Actually, the shots where he's "looking left" correspond to his image in the mirror of the bathroom, as it's made clear at the end of the scene. See more »

"Fantastic Four" hits the big screen in style
5 March 2019 | by robfollowerSee all my reviews

A group of astronauts gain superpowers after a cosmic radiation exposure and must use them to oppose the plans of their enemy, Doctor Victor Von Doom.

It exists largely to entertain and delight, which used to be precisely what summer blockbusters were engineered to do.
