Devon Sawa, the teenage heartthrob known for his roles in '90s horror gems like Idle Hands and Final Destination, has shared that most of his co-stars in the family sports comedy Little Giants want a reunion. Considering the film depicted a whole football team, it's not a small group to bring together again after all these years, but it looks like Sawa is working hard to make it happen.
Sawa took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to start a campaign to gather the stars of the 1994 film in one room and rekindle the magic of the beloved family comedy. His post teases the fact that he's been talking with his co-stars from the movie, and he even mentions the American Cinematheque account in order to get a Q&a going. He also mentions a Little Giants Easter Egg that maybe some will recognize:

Don Mancini and Devon Sawa are both horror icons in their own ways. For Mancini, he’s the creative mind behind the ever-growing and uber-popular Child’s Play franchise which has spawned seven feature-length films and an incredibly successful TV series, which is now in its third season on Syfy and USA Network. On the other side of the camera is Sawa, whose appearance in Chucky marks his first time working with Mancini, but is far from his first foray into horror-centered projects. Back in the early 2000s, Sawa’s face was synonymous with the first film in the Final Destination franchise, and the actor also held roles in other notable projects, including Idle Hands, Slc Punk!, Wild America, Now and Then, and more.

Manios was born in Athens, Greece on September 4, 1938 and lived through Greece’s Great Famine of 1941. He made the move to Los Angeles at 19 years old and became an apprentice to Chris Condon, a family friend and owner of Century Photo Supplies. His career in Hollywood spanned five decades and during his life as an optics trailblazer, Manios developed numerous optical devices, including wide-angle and telephoto lenses, that became standard equipment in film and television production. He was awarded several U.S. patents and earned the patronage and friendship of many of the industry’s top cinematographers.

If you were concerned about there being a content drought in August due to the coronavirus pandemic shutting down Hollywood, you were…absolutely right in those concerns.
For its new releases in August 2020, Hulu is following Apple, Disney, and even Peacock’s lead in taking things nice and slowly. The vast majority of the notable offerings here are of the library variety. Hulu adds classic movies like Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Rain Man, and Top Gun on August 1. Those go along with the very much still-holds-up Casino Royale on August 31.
Hulu also has room for some interesting recent indie movies like Ordinary Love (Aug. 3) and Peanut Butter Falcon (Aug. 6). But when it comes to Hulu original content there’s not much going on. The unheralded Find Me in Paris debuts its third season on August 21. That is followed by original comedy The Binge on August 28. And that’s about it!

HBO Max is set to enter into its second month of existence. And you know what that means: it’s Christmas in July!
HBO Max’s list of new releases for July 2020 is highlighted by one prominent Christmas movie: last year’s Emilia Clarke-starring Last Christmas. But the real cause for Christmas in July is all the exciting animated DC content coming our way on the first of the month. July 1 sees the arrival of just about every animated Batman project ever created. July 1 also features the arrival of just about every Justice League animated series ever created as well.
If that weren’t enough, July 1 is also when every live-action Superman movie (save for Man of Steel) makes it streaming debut. July is starting to look like a month where HBO Max establishes its real potential and geek culture bonafides…despite an at-times difficult rollout.

When HBO Max launched last month, DC fans hoped it would be the premiere place to go to watch all their favorite DC content. While the streaming service did have an impressive array of films and TV shows available on launch, there were a lot of notable missing titles, too, due to pre-existing licenses getting in the way. As time goes on, though, more DC properties will end up on the site. Case in point: this July will see a whole heap of superhero content go up on HBO Max.

There are a lot of popular streaming platforms to choose from, but Hulu has always stood alongside Netflix as one of the two essentials for households looking for diversity in content. In the past, they’ve been known for focusing more heavily on newer television content, while Netflix has always offered a larger selection of sought-after films. But now, it looks like Hulu’s June lineup is only going to continue the service’s recent trend of providing high quality movies to bring itself in line with their competitor.
First up, you can get wholesome with Mr. Rogers in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, which tells the story of an investigative journalist who learns some hard life lessons from one of television’s most beloved personalities. You can then supplement that wholesomeness with My Girl and My Girl 2 for some wonderful 90s nostalgia.

June 2020 is set to be a big month for the whole streaming Disney family. Not only will ESPN+ have the entirety of The Last Dance on its servers for late-adopting sports fans to catch up with, but Disney+ will be premiering its long-awaited Artemis Fowl film. Over on its biggest streaming service in Hulu, however, Disney is taking things a bit more slowly.
This month finds only three major original releases for Hulu. Animated medieval comedy Crossing Swords premieres on June 12, then Ya love story Love Victor and cooking show Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi both arrive on June 19. All in all, that’s not a bad haul for originals for the typically slow summer months.
June 1 sees a pretty impressive crop of movies coming to Hulu’s library as well. October Sky, The X-Files (1998), and Casino will all be ready to stream at the beginning of the month.

It’s been over 10 years since Adam Lambert famously lost the “American Idol” title to singer-songwriter Kris Allen and fans are still adamant he was robbed. In a recent poll we asked our readers which runner-up from the past 17 seasons of “Idol” most deserved to win and Lambert won by an absolute landslide. With 74% of the vote, he is by far the most beloved second-place finisher.
Finishing a distant second place in our poll with 8% of the vote was Season 2’s Clay Aiken, who lost to Ruben Studdard in the closest finale vote in “American Idol” history. Last year’s finalist Alejandro Aranda snagged 6% after losing to country singer Laine Hardy. Every so often, we take a second to reflect on our celebrity crushes of yore, from boy band members to cute TV actors, and wonder: what the hell happened to them? An adorable heartthrob named Jonathan Taylor Thomas (affectionately known as Jtt) had a heyday in the '90s, taking over the covers of teenybopper magazines and making us swoon each week as Randy Taylor on the ABC sitcom Home Improvement. Between 1991 and 1999, Jtt's cute little face and floppy middle-parted hair was also featured in big-screen classics like Man of the House, Tom and Huck, Wild America, and I'll Be Home For Christmas, and he also lent his voice to Disney's The Lion King as young Simba. After a smooth run of success, Jonathan Taylor Thomas seemingly disappeared. Poof! In 2013, Jonathan opened up about his decision to leave the spotlight, telling People that he had "been going nonstop since I was 8 years old,...

I'll never forget the moment I saw Jonathan Taylor Thomas waltz onto the screen in Wild America, still one of my favorite movies to this day. My 8-year-old self was smitten. And then I saw Mrs. Doubtfire. Although it technically debuted before Wild America, I'd never encountered Matthew Lawrence and I was weak at the knees once more. The '90s were a golden age of teen heartthrobs; our heartthrobs were movie and TV stars - the closest I ever got to interacting with Matthew Lawrence was doodling his name in my diary, not following his every move on Instagram as teens these days are capable of. Their inaccessibility in the '90s made them almost seem like demigods. Of course, my crushes were different than yours. So I've compiled a list of the most unforgettable '90s heartthrobs for you to rank - and maybe we'll finally find out who the crown prince of the '90s truly is. Even though they're no longer teen heartthrobs, we're guessing you won't be shocked to learn that these hunks have aged quite well.

If you grew up in the '90s, chances are you fell for Devon's dreamy moments in movies like Now and Then, Wild America, and Casper. ("Can I keep you?") He first hit the big screen in 1994's Little Giants, and since then, Devon has continued to win over fans with both his talent and his good looks. Meanwhile, he and his wife, Dawni, welcomed their son, Hudson, in January 2014, and the adorable dad regularly shares sweet pictures of his little one on social media. Wild America! President Barack Obama joined Running Wild host Bear Grylls in the Alaskan wilderness on Tuesday, Sept. 1, in his continual effort to combat climate change in the state. The commander in chief, 54, took over the White House's official social media accounts on Tuesday, to share snippets from his arctic excursion with the television host. Posting a selfie with Grylls from their mountainous trek, Obama wrote early Wednesday, "Glad this was the only Bear I met in the park." Grylls reposted the photo and wrote: "Was [...]...

Two of the biggest teen idols of the '90s celebrated their birthdays this week: "Wild America" costars Devon Sawa and Jonathan Taylor Thomas.Pretty hard to believe the two guys, who rose to fame thanks to roles in "Now and Then" and "Home Improvement" and constant covers of magazines like Bop and Tiger Beat, are both in their 30s now.Jtt turns 31 today, while Devon celebrated his 34th on Friday. But what are they up to now? While Devon's still acting and was just bumped up to "series regular" on the CW show "Nikita," Jon has been largely Mia from the limelight. He was most recently seen around this time last year, reuniting with his "Home Improvement" costars for an Entertainment Weekly photo shoot. What could be more exciting than a new show that involves an actress from one of the most legendary musical films of all time? How about a new show involving the actress who plays the most awesome character from that film? Yes I am talking about the one and only Grease, and the one and only-est Stockard Channing! The famed Rizzo has been cast on an ABC pilot where she will play mother to none other than the teen pop icon turned actress, Mandy Moore. I am almost equally thrilled at Mandy's participation in this pilot because I have been a fan of hers since her big acting debut in A Walk to Remember. Her portrayal of Jamie Sullivan is one of the reasons I believe in true love to this day. Clearly both actresses are musically gifted so the producers on this pilot might as well stop kidding...

As any woman in her mid-to-late twenties can attest, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, or Jtt as he was known around the Teen Bop/Bop/Tiger Beat/Tiger Bop/Tiger Teens Beep Bop Ba Doop community, was a big deal growing up. You were either so entirely obsessed with the Home Improvement dreamboat that it was hard to tell where the Jtt posters hanging in your bedroom ended and your actual wall paper began, or you had a best friend who did. (I was of the latter category. And as a true testament to how much I love my best friend, I...

We all remember our first love. Mine was particularly memorable because it was very obviously one-sided. He was cute. He was funny. He was perfect. Sigh. And I got to see him once a week…on ABC. And therein lies the problem. I was crushing on Randy from the hit series Home Improvement. Yeah, I’d never met him (minor details, people!) but he was still the man of my house. To solidify my love, I owned and re-read one of those tween photo books full of classy shots of Jtt looking pretty fine. I’m sure I still have...
