- Although it's staged, we see a flashback to when Truman tried to help his father, but then had to watch him drown off their boat during a violent storm.
- Some suspenseful moments as Truman attempts to challenge the limits of his world: trying to drive over a bridge, driving through a wall of fire, stepping in front of moving traffic, battling a conjured weather storm in a sailboat, etc.
- A scene near the end might be upsetting to some.
