Trivia

Directly after Rex lands back in the car in Al's Toy Barn, Tour-Guide Barbie quotes "Remain seated please" then repeats it in Spanish. This is a reference to the safety spiel on the Matterhorn at Disneyland. (In the Spanish version of the movie, she repeats it in French.) See more »

Goofs

Stinky Pete claimed that space toys had replaced the round up toys many years ago. And yet in the original film Andy is not seen with any Buzz Lightyear franchise until he got Buzz for his birthday. Same could be said for When She Loved Me as Jessie is seen with Emily roughly in the 1960s a few years after Sputnik launched. It is possible however that the space toys was simply a fad and cowboy dolls regained popularity between the 1960s and 1990s. See more »

Another Instant Classic From Disney
5 January 2002 | by tfrizzellSee all my reviews

"Toy Story 2" is equal to its predecessor. Some may say it is better (I am not sure about that) but it is on par with the original. This time Woody is stolen by a greedy toy collector and it is up to Buzz Lightyear and their friends to rescue him. The film is great-looking, the voice characterizations are all perfect and the film's screenplay is so intelligent that "Toy Story 2" would have been successful under the worst of circumstances. 5 stars out of 5.
