Worth it if you can find it

Night of the Beast is an interesting and imaginative film if nothing else. A priest discovers when the anti-Christ will be born and attempts to sell his soul to the devil in order to be at the birth so he can kill the anti-Christ and save the world. Or something like that. Along the way he enlist the help of a record store clerk with a heavy-metal fetish and a taste for acid and the host of a local TV program about the supernatural.

Well made and acted, and with an intelligent, if occasionally vague, script that adds elements of mystery and humor into the horror mix. It should have played around with its ideas a little more though. The best scenes are in the beginning when the priest attempts to become evil in order to contact Satan.
