Did You Know?
Trivia | This movie is loosely based on the real-life case of Larry Davis, a drug dealer who shot six cops, but was acquitted (with William Kunstler as his lawyer) after charging that the police were trying to kill him because they were involved in the drug trade. The Manhattan District Attorney, Robert Morgenthau, was also nicknamed "Morgy". See more » |
Goofs | Judge Impelliteri's sentences are indeterminate sentences. Adding "no parole" to an indeterminate sentence makes no sense. He sentenced Washington to 3 terms of "25 years to life, with no parole." A sentence of 25 years to life is a life sentence in which you become eligible for parole after serving 25 years. He also gave Washington 2 terms of "15 to 25 years each, with no parole." This is an indeterminate sentence of 25 years where you become eligible for parole after serving 15 years. See more » |

Quotes |
Sean Casey:
The two rat-fucks? Rat-fucks! You took money from Harlem's biggest dealer. You committed perjury at his trial. You engaged in a conspiracy to kill him when he wouldn't cough up more dough, and now you're offering to turn in seven other cops in order to save yourself, and you have the nerve to call them rat-fucks? You were a cop, Joe, and now you're garbage! You're nothing! See more » |
