An easy, but humorous and somewhat intellectual flick. The male leads give a reasonably good performance, and the minister's romantic interest is voluptuous enough to let us ignore her total disability as an actress. This movie is a classic, situation-driven comedy, recommended to any who speaks Hungarian. Don't miss it.

No Sex, Please - We're Hungarian!

I'm lucky to have learned Hungarian from my mother because I don't believe I would have enjoyed this movie in a dubbed version. I don't think they even produced a dubbing.
However, there are many funny slapstick movies with a lot of confusion among the nine-ten characters. But among all the movies of the kind this includes the biggest mess ever! People being dead and presidents betraying their wives, boxers running around naked in the hotel... and so on. I laughed tears.
It reminded me of a stage play I once acted in: "No Sex Please - We're British". You can draw some parallels.

I caught this movie on the SBS channel here in Australia last night by chance and i found it hilarious and well-scripted! A gem indeed! The two comedians playing the lead roles were excellent!!! I hope i can find it on video somewhere, I'd like to watch it again. Highly-recommended!
Wonderfully brilliant

I was lucky enough to see this at the Hungarian Film Festival in LA last year and it was the best comedy i have seen in a decade. Charming slapstick, shades of Chaplin, witty dialogue and hilarious twists and turns. The audience at the screening I attended practically rolled on the floor continuosly. Highly recommend!!!
Fun to watch; surely it was fun to play as well

Some of the most popular actors in Hungary play in this film version of the play. Just check the names of the directors, writers and the two lead roles: Andras kern and Robert Koltai are hilarious comedian-writer-directors. Andrew Vajna, Hungarian producer of Total Recall, Die Hard III, Nixon, Evita etc. provides an entertaining comedy which is simply entertaining from the beginning to the end.
