Storyline

A school teacher is impregnated and kidnapped by an alien being who has been chased across the galaxy by another alien being whose race is trying to exterminate Cross's race. When the infant is born it will be female and will become the "Eve" of her race. (Females were the first to be exterminated.) But first they must reach his ship and deliver the child (full term is three days). Mancuso cons the local sheriff in his attempt to kill the mother, child and alien. User Reviews

Well-intended but painfully cliched.
29 November 2003 | by willywantsSee all my reviews

"The Invader" is a inoffensive film, but it falls short due to a predictable by-the-numbers plot and cliched elements that it borrows from many different superior sci-fi films.

While "Invader" is a cliched film, it does have it's merits. The script is quite good, the acting is hit or miss, and some of the special effects are decent (like the space ship chase scene in the opening sequence--some nice model and blue screen work), but a pace that moves like molasses, a unimaginative plot, and all-too-human looking aliens hammer it.
