Sex & Nudity

  • A man and woman lie in bed together. It is implied they had sex and are still undressed as they mostly remain under bed covers with only their arms and legs and the man's chest showing.
  • Col. Roosevelt and Mrs. Roosevelt leave a military ball to stay together at a hotel. When they are later seen Roosevelt is in a half-buttoned uniform and Mrs. Roosevelt is seen wearing a corset dress. It is implied they had sex and possibly once more as they wished to spend as much time together before Roosevelt leaves for deployment with his troop.
  • A group of troopers on a train stand inside a train car doorway with their buttocks exposed to rival troopers marching along the roadside. The shot is brief as the train speeds up and the shot of the men's buttocks is from a growing distance away.
  • Between missions, a group of troopers bathe. At least one man is fully nude however his back is faced towards the camera. They are the subject of a life drawing painted by a newspaper illustrator.
  • A trooper talks about how he intends to spend his time after the service, including hiring an attractive, highly-skilled prostitute.

  • this movie is not rated but if it was it would be rated pg-13 for war violence and some language


  • Use of "goddamn" and "bastards".

  • A news correspondent admits he's a narcotics user and a drunk.
  • A news correspondent suggests to a soldier that he ought to get drunk to cope with his guilt over killing two men in battle.
