Did You Know?
Trivia | Although the movie's American release under the Troma brand indicates a low budget and a home made quality, its 5 million DM budget was very high for a German comedy at that time, the cast includes well known character actors and comedians, iconic surrealist H.R. Giger was hired to do some design work and because of the popularity of Ralf König's comics and the commercial success of the earlier König adaptation Maybe... Maybe Not (1994), it was expected to be the smash hit of 1996. Unfortunately the opposite was the case and although it achieved cult classic status later on, it was disliked by critics and disappeared from movie theaters within less than a month. See more » |
