Plot Summary

A team of scientists working for a pharmaceutical company discovers a cure for depression. When the company finds itself in trouble financially, they rush the new drug into production without doing enough testing. Things seem to go fine until some of the users of the drug start slipping into comas. It becomes a race between the scientists who want to tell the world the truth and the company's marketing department who wants to protect their profit margin. Written by Jeff Stanley

Did You Know?

Edit
Trivia Dave Foley originally had a much larger role in the writing of the script and in the film, with more characters and scenes. But he quit the troupe in the middle of the writing, due to his dissatisfaction with the script and the internal feuds, was cast in NewsRadio (1995) and was featured in the movie due to contractual reasons. After years of denial from the five Kids, Dave Foley came clear about his involvement with "Brain Candy" in an interview with "The Onion A.V. Club" in 2004. See more »

Quotes Wally: Doctor, why do those types
[motions with hands]
Wally: keep thinking that I'm one of them?
Psychiatrist: Well, Wally, because you *are* one of them. You are gay. You are gay. You are a homosexual. The opposite of straight, you're gay. I know it. Your family knows it. DOGS know it! Everyone seems to know it except you.
