Trivia

Aside from low ratings, network politics was widely believed to be behind the show's cancellation. ABC had recently been bought by Disney, who at the time were planning to open their Animal Kingdom theme park. The show's extensive connections to Busch Gardens was viewed as too great a conflict of interest for Disney. See more »

Why did they cancel this show?!?
17 October 2000 | by dmm316See all my reviews

I loved this show!!! The story was about a couple who had 8 adopted children. With a family that size, I'm sure you can imagine the chaos of the household (think Seventh Heaven or Just the Ten of Us). It had it's funny moments as well as it's serious ones (including teen parents and some of the kids searching for biological parents). On the season finale, Jessie (the mother) was surprised to learn she was pregnant, considering she had been told she would never have children biologically years earlier. The show was not picked up the next season, which really ticked me off. I really think this show would do well in syndication on Fox Family or Pax TV; I would definitely watch it again.
