    Surprisingly, good

As a rule, direct-to-video films aren't particularly good. Another reliable rule is that movies with the prefix "cyber" in them aren't likely to be any good (this film is also known as "Cybertech P.D."). Well, somehow, this film manages to beat the odds and be worthwhile, and that is an amazing achievement for this type of film. It's nothing particularly special, but it has a good sense of humour and a reasonably well-known cast that helps keep the movie buoyant. Sure, you'll forget about it as soon as the credits start to roll, but if you're looking for a decent time-filler that is somewhat off-the-beaten-path, then I suggest that you give this movie a chance.

    A lot of danger signs

This film is not as bad as I thought it would be. It had a lot of danger signs, such as being more or less a direct-to-video release, starring Lorenzo Lamas, etc. Even Kari Wuhrer, for some reason, was credited by a different name, and she's not exactly A-list. Don't get me wrong, I'm not putting down Miss Wuhrer, who I like. She was pretty good here in a fairly large role, and is, as always, eye candy. Lamas was Lamas, need I say more? Peter Coyote overacted shamelessly, and Chris Sarandon was sufficiently menacing and villainous. The formulaic plot, however, dooms this film. It's worth a Netflix rental or something, particularly if you like Kari Wuhrer, but if you spend any money on this one, I think you'll be mad.
    Welcome Back, Farter

NAUGHTY KARI PERSUADES PROF TO RAISE GRADE OF B-MOVIE

Nothing makes a crappy movie watchable like Kari Wuhrer's stalker-inspiring body. She ain't shy about showing what she's got and DAMN! Despite Lorenzo Lamas' occasional on-screen intrusions, I was able to sit through the whole film. No idea what it was about, but I think it had something to do with Everybody wants to see Kari naked. Duh.

The chip with the illicit software on it is an EPROM without its erasure window covered by a sticker. With the erasure window uncovered, exposure to UV radiation (e.g. from sunlight or camera flashes) would erase the contents of the chip.
