The TBS Superstation version removes some of the more violent sound effects, e.g. bones crunching or arms twisting, and also two bad words... A very kick-butt adaptation of the Mortal Kombat Storyline.
This movie is, in my opinion, the BEST transfer of an Arcade Game to Movie to be seen anywhere. It incorporates much of the hidden storyline behind Mortal Kombat (things later revealed through MK2 and MK3 video games) and takes a blend of the character's humanity (from love to hate the spectrum is there) to bring full realization to the human content in Mortal Kombat, that we control our own destiny, and the consequences of our choices are what we must deal within our lives. I recommend this movie to anyone looking for a great action/martial arts film that has a decent storyline combined with spectacular effects and martial arts.
