Bassie and Adriaan work in a circus. They seem to attract criminals and when Adriaan and Bassie manage to get a few arrested one criminal in specific devotes his life to making sure the two will never be able to do that again.

Well it actually isn't their roots, but it is more or less were we left off after the first movie. Unfortunately it also shifts back to similar tone as the first one, but not being as good by doing so as the first one was. There is one major change: one of the main characters is now portrayed by a different actor, after he was played by the same actor for two movies. And he was really good in it - the shoes were too big to fill I reckon.
Still it's not just the new actors fault - the script itself is quite weak. A shame but it still has some merits. I have not seen the TV show yet and I probably won't ... Flodders was fun to an extent (if you don't mind the nudity and the profanity of course, not sure if they implemented that on TV), but the journey is over - not on a high note I might add - that ending ... well let's not talk about it, I might rescore lower ...
