The scientist father of a teenage girl and boy accidentally shrinks his and two other neighborhood teens to the size of insects. Now the teens must fight diminutive dangers as the father searches for them.
Furious that her late father only willed her his gloomy-looking mansion rather than his millions, Carrigan Crittenden is ready to burn the place to the ground when she discovers a map to a treasure hidden in the house. But when she enters the rickety mansion to seek her claim, she is frightened away by a wicked wave of ghosts. Determined to get her hands on this hidden fortune, she hires afterlife therapist Dr. James Harvey to exorcise the ghosts from the mansion. Harvey and his daughter Kat move in, and soon Kat meets Casper, the ghost of a young boy who's "the friendliest ghost you know." But not so friendly are Casper's uncles--Stretch, Fatso and Stinkie--who are determined to drive all "fleshies" away. Ultimately, it is up to Harvey and Kat to help the ghosts cross over to the other side.Written by

When Kat is dancing with Casper at the end of the film, the duo is shown floating above the floor. Yet, in the next shot, a view from the balcony, they are back on the floor.
However, during a shot in between while he's identifying himself to her a light in the background can be seen getting bigger indicating that he's lowering them to the ground. See more »

Ya know what the problem is? Casper's got no respect for us.
After all we've done for the little glowworm.

What the hell do ya think you're doin', Bulbhead? This floor used to be dirty enough to eat off of.
But we have company.
Oh, yeah? Well, company loves misery.

An outstanding technical achievement, and so much more!
Casper is a beautifully made movie. It has great humor, excellent cast, an enchanting music score, spectacular special effects and a very touching story. This movie is a perfect family movie and certainly not targeted only for children.
Look out for some very amusing cameos (including Clint Eastwood and Mel Gibson).
Full marks on this one!
