We've all dreamed we could be Xena...
17 January 2002 | by manu2510See all my reviews

This show is a must. At first I was a bit reluctant, and a friend of mine somewhat forced me to watch a few episodes, but after a while I was hooked. This show has some seriously funny episodes. Some episodes were not so good, but most of them are really great. Ok, there are a bunch of historical inaccuracies. But then again, nobody ever said it was a history class. I really like the fact that the producers used mythology and history like that; the episode when we got to "know" what really happened at Stonehenge was just an example of how good this show can be! The characters are on the whole great. I liked Joxer at first, but quickly dismissed him as a not-so-funny supporting character. Xena, of course, is awesome. Sometimes Gabrielle is a bit annoying (especially in season 5 (I think) when she gets all goody-two-shoes and doesn't want to touch a weapon in her life ever again), Ares is incredible, and Aphrodite has to be the best comical character! If Gods really existed, I'd like them to look like the actors portraying them in the series. The best season was the last, IMO. New settings, new characters... It's a shame there won't be a seventh season, but hey, we still have a lot to enjoy...
