Storyline

After a messy divorce with her very rich and powerful husband, Nora Wilde refuses to accept his offer of $1.8 million and tries to make it on her own. Being a Pulitzer nominated photographer, the only place that even considers hiring her is a sleazy tabloid named "The Comet". She is forced to accept their offer and starts working there as a regular papparazzo. Celebrities like Tom Hanks and Anna Nicole Smith appear as themselves and try to fight off Nora's attempts to photograph them. Written by Danny Paikov <deepee@netvision.net.il>

Trivia

The show originally premiered on ABC for the 1995-96 season. Despite receiving decent ratings, ABC cancelled it. It was subsequently picked up by NBC, and, in order to give it time to retool the show, and make some cast changes, it began its run on NBC as a springtime replacement in January 1997 (the first episode was called, "We're At NBC Now"). It was renewed for a third season. However, after still more changes to the show, ratings plummeted, and the show was cancelled. Since NBC had ordered a full season, several shows were never aired during its broadcast run. Téa Leoni is the only cast member to have remained with the show throughout its entire run. See more »

They never gave this show a chance!
28 February 2008 | by SylSee all my reviews

Tea Leoni plays Nora Wilde, a serious photographer, who is going through a bad divorce. She wants her freedom but it comes at a cost. She wants to legitimate photography but is hired to work for the tabloids as a paparazzi. Her boss is played by the wonderful and divine Holland Taylor. The show was well-written most of the time. TEa's Nora was beginning to develop into quite a memorable character but the network just didn't support comedy and they still don't. Even when they brought in George Wendt from Cheers, they made unnecessary changes in casting and characters. The show was fine in the beginning and the audience was getting used to it but then the network botches it up like a bad plastic surgery.
