A highly successful advertising executive decides to put his job on hold after getting an update from his father that he and his wife are divorced and decides to extend his break after revealing that his father is a diabetic.
So, this is just a compilation of three episodes from the "Tales from the Crypt" tv series. If you're a fan, maybe you should track down some broader dvd collection with more episodes instead. This one's not much more than a collector's item.
I like the 70's Tales movie which is a bit more serious, but the comedic tone of this 90's series just isn't my cup of tea. Some people probably love it, so... it's up to you.
The first episode is about a mad doctor with a scenario that reminds a bit of Re-Animator. The second one is about a an escaping robber wandering through the desert with a cop on his trail and a vulture stalking both of them. I think this was the most consistent and entertaining episode. The third one is interesting for the fact that it's directed by Tom Hanks who also has a small acting role. He's usually known for drama-comedies so it's interesting to see him involved in horror genre.
All in all, I found this mishmash watchable but partly boring. Only for collectors and horror anthology fanatics.
