MPAA Rated PG for a few crude moments

Sex & Nudity

  • Scott sarcastically reading a phone number as 1-800-SPANK ME, and says he knows that number. (This line is removed from the DVD and Blu-ray releases of the film as well as television broadcasts.) The line is basically a "throw-away" and done so quickly kids won't get it.

Violence & Gore

  • While not a direct use of violence, Scott Calvin, while expressing his distaste for his company trying to do a commercial where Santa drives in a Tank, heavily implies that Santa will most likely use the tank to blow away houses that were on the Naughty list.

  • There is 1 hell, 1 damn are said so fast you really have to be listening very hard to even hear them.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • There are no scenes with alcohol, drinking, or smoking. The 60s were a crazy time and not everyone had the same outlook on them.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There are no scenes that can be viewed as nether frightening nor intense for younger children.

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • Santa is Killed after he falls from a roof. Although an older audience will realise that this scene is played for laughs, younger children may find it upsetting.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Santa Claus falling off of a roof. No injury seen and his physical body disappears leaving his suit behind. This is integral to the plot but may startle some youmger viewers.
  • Further into the movie a manhunt is carried out for an arrest warrant for Scott Calvin/Santa Claus and he is subsequently arrested and placed into the back of a squad car. May be upsetting for some viewers.
