Gunmen

The movie was filmed in nine weeks, between April 20 and June 18, 1992, but it wasn't released until February 4, 1994, more than a year and a half after it was finished. Besides releasing all of the later DVD versions of the movie in cropped 1.33:1 pan and scan format, instead of 2.35:1 widescreen, in which the movie was originally filmed, Miramax and Dimension Films also went and cut it down by five minutes before it was released theatrically on only eight hundred screens. This movie was originally much harder, and featured greater violence and language, and most of the cuts were made in those scenes, because studios wanted to make it safer and more appealing to the general moviegoing audience. The uncut version of the movie was never released.

(at around 29 mins) After Dani and Cole jump off of the cliff and are washed down the river, Cole complains that Dani lost his "Pearl handled 9mm" gun. The gun that he had was not pearl handled, and was a WW2 model Colt 1911 which is a .45 ACP weapon.

A longer 97 minute version does exist and was submitted to the OFLC (Office of Film and Literature Classification) in Australia. While this version was rated M, it was noted that it contained "High level coarse language, Violence, Medium level sex scene". Months later, a second version was submitted with a running time of 94 minutes and carried the same M rating, but with "Medium level violence, Coarse language, Sex scene" as the advice. It is believed that the longer 97 minute version was never officially released anywhere.
