Samuel L. Jackson and Emilio Estevez in Loaded Weapon 1 (1993)

Goofs

Loaded Weapon 1

Edit

Continuity

When Colt is mixing his cocktail in his trailer, the bottle of Jack Daniels he picks up is the colour of cola in the first shot but then a much lighter shade when he puts it down in the subsequent shot.
At the end, Colt and Luger get into a blue unmarked police car. In the following exterior shot it has turned into a brown car.
When Colt is standing in the sea, smoking, the water is lapping at his knees. When he walks back onto dry land, his legs are totally dry from the ankle up, except for a small damp patch on one knee.

Revealing mistakes

When the dynamite placed in the boat blows up in the water and dead divers surface, one of them can be clearly seen first raising his head and then turning it away from the camera, while another in front of him spits water as he surfaces.
After Luger arrives at the crime scene for York, a police officer places some tape across the doorway behind him - as he does so, the adhesive pads that stick the fake tape to the door can clearly be seen.
In the shoot-out at the start of the movie, interior shots are of a "7-Eleven", while exteriors are of an independently owned mini-mart.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

When the Nazis talk to each other, a subtitle is "Relax, only a psychotic, burned out cop would try to break in." But the actual line is, "Relax, only an ape would come in here."

Crew or equipment visible

When Colt and Luger first arrive at the "Squealer's Hotel" and get out of the car, the camera man and boom mic operator are visible in the window behind the two as they walk towards the other cops.
When Colt and Miss Demeanor arrive at the Wilderness girls headquarters (after the Basic Instinct (1992) spoof) crew can be seen reflected in the door of the car.

Character error

At the end of the film, Luger and Colt get into a car that has a magnetic police light on the right rear of the roof. As Colt opens his door, it catches the wire from the magnetic light and you can see it turn sideways and begin to slide across the car's roof.
After the shootout at the cookie office, when Luger goes to get the car, he gets out of the car quickly and his foot is partially on the curb and it causes him to slip and fall. They leave it in the film.
Luger refers to "whomever's in charge"; not only is it wrong (it should be "whoever") but just a few minutes earlier he was being a strict grammarian with another character.
