Storyline

Brian Kessler, a journalist researching serial killers, and his photographer girlfriend Carrie set out on a cross-country tour of the sites of the killings. Sharing the ride and their expenses are Early Grayce, a paroled white trash criminal, and his girlfriend Adele. As the trip progresses, Early begins to appear more and more unstable, and Brian and Carrie begin to fear that they may have a real-life killer in the back seat of their car. Walter Livesy: [struggling to speak] Wal - Walter Livesy.
Early Grayce: Well, Walter. Think I gotta kill you. How do you feel about that?
Walter Livesy: [trying to hide his fear] Not so good. You sure you have to.
Early Grayce: I don't know. Wish I did.
Carrie Laughlin: [terrified] Early please.
Early Grayce: [explodes] Shut up!
[smashes some things around the gas station as he shouts]
Early Grayce: Goddamnit! I'm trying to have a conversation with Walter.

A disturbing and intriguing film.
20 August 2001 | by pizowellSee all my reviews

Kalifornia is the story of a writer and his girlfriend photographer who are looking for someone to help pay gas money and take turns at the wheel for a cross country road trip to famous murder sights. Ironically a serial killer and his girlfriend answer the post. Kalifornia is a diamond in the rough and a very intriguing journey with a serial killer. Great performances all around by the leads with Pitt in particular being exceptional. Check it out!!
