Laura Dern movies: 15 greatest films, ranked worst to best, include ‘Wild,’ ‘Rambling Rose,’ ‘Jurassic Park’
Laura Dern returns to HBO this weekend with her film “The Tale,” a big hit in early 2018 at the Sundance Film Festival where the premium network purchased it. Dern’s last collaboration with HBO proved quite successful for both of them. “Big Little Lies” was a major winner during at the 2017 Emmy Awards (her first trophy) and 2018 Golden Globes.

Dern began her career as a teenager more than 30 years ago. Dern seemed to initially aspire to a more normal life but her attempts to finish her college degree at the University of Southern California were continually interrupted by obtaining plum film roles. That she’d eventually settled into an acting career isn’t surprising since her father Bruce Dern is a two time Oscar nominee and her mother Diane Ladd a three time nominee.

‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ TV Spots & Featurettes Tease New Directions; Fun on Set

Universal Pictures has released a bunch of new TV Spots & Featurettes for ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom‘. J.A. Bayona steps into the director’s chair for the sequel to the massively successful ‘Jurassic World’. Although the film seems to be retreading some elements of the original ‘Jurassic Park‘ in terms of tone and more importantly the story of ‘The Lost World: Jurassic Park‘, the marketing for the film seems to embrace the third act gothic horror elements that Bayona was seemingly able to achieve with the film.

The tv spots do a good enough job of selling the tone of ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdon‘, but it’s really the featurettes and the “Jurassic Journals” that really help to showcase the attention to detail in the sequel. In both recreating the animatronics used in those first two films, as well as the clear reverence that both the cast and crew have for those films,

"Life finds a way." And so did Jurassic Park, leaping from the page to the screen with Steven Spielberg's 1993 blockbuster, launching a franchise around prehistoric DNA. Here we'll take a look at 10 things you never knew about Jurassic Park.

The ER connection.

Steven Spielberg met with Michael Crichton to discuss an entirely different project, one that eventually turned into the TV hospital drama ER, which Crichton would later create and executive produce. It was in that meeting where Spielberg turned his attention to Crichton's dinosaur tale, which the author was still writing at the time. When Hollywood got its hands on galleys for Jurassic Park in 1990, a number of high-profile directors were interested as well, including Superman director Richard Donner, Batman director Tim Burton and Terminator director James Cameron.

Harrison Ford.

Jurassic World 2 First Reactions Call It Brutal and Fun

Jurassic World 2 First Reactions Call It Brutal and Fun
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom just had its world premiere. Universal decided to hold the premiere for the highly-anticipated sequel in Madrid, Spain, a full month before it's set to premiere in North America. That may make it tricky to avoid spoilers leaking out online, but the important thing is that the audience in attendance has weighed in on director J.A. Bayona's entry in the Jurassic Park franchise. So, how did he do? The movie received a 10-minute standing ovation from the crowd and the vast majority of reactions on Twitter have been very positive.

Unfortunately, a great many of the reactions from the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom premiere aren't in English, but thanks to Twitter's translate feature, we can at least get a good sense for the tone of the reactions. And, premiere or not, bad movies don't often get a 10-minute standing ovation. So there is that to consider.

Home Entertainment: ‘The Jurassic Games’ DVD Review

Set in a not too distant future, The Jurassic Games (the latest film to aim for the Sharknado crown of best ‘crap-tastic’ flick) paints a future in which death row convicts are forced to compete in a virtual reality game that is televised on TV. In the game, they must fight against each other, oh, and also hordes of prehistoric dinosaurs with a taste for human flesh. If they die in the game, they die in real life. It’s the Jurassic Park/Running Man/Hunger Games cross-over you never knew you wanted and will want to give back straight away.

I would be lying if I said that the concept didn’t intrigue me. It is undoubtedly the most entertaining aspect of this creaky, cheesy flick. Its gonzo enough to scratch a particular B-movie itch that we all feel from time to time. Occasionally, it can make good on this concept,

First Reactions To Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Call It “F***ing Incredible”

The world premiere of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the latest chapter in the long-running Jurassic Park franchise, just wrapped up in Spain, and already a handful of attendees have taken to Twitter to share their impression of the film.

The early word on the highly anticipated J.A. Bayona-directed blockbuster is quite positive, with one person even calling it “f***ing incredible.” However, keep in mind that these are the Tweets of fans, not critics, so the response, and more specifically the Rt score, could look very different next month when the film is actually released.

Most of the early reactions are approving though, and, more importantly, encouraging, given the mixed to barely positive response Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World received. In fact, some are going so far as to call Fallen Kingdom “the continuation that the saga deserves” and “the best movie of a great saga!”

50 Photos That Will Validate Your Decades-Long Crush on Jeff Goldblum
Jeff Goldblum is just one of those celebrities who gets better with age. Just when you thought he'd never look hotter than he did back in the '80s, he goes and shows back up on your screen with salt and pepper hair and those adorably cool round-frame glasses. If we're being honest, Jeff is quirky-sexy; the 64-year-old has an unconventional hotness that creeps up on you like, say, a giant velociraptor and then hits you hard like, perhaps, an alien mothership would.
