Streaming platform NowTV erected the Jeff Goldblum statue in Potters Field, in front of London's Tower Bridge, today. The statue is 25 feet long and 9.8 feet high and weighs over 330 lbs. It took over six weeks and 250 hours to complete the tribute to one of Jurassic Park's most iconic moments. It isn't clear why the statue of Goldblum was set up in England,
Now TV’s publicity team commissioned a larger-than-life rendering of “Jurassic Park” star Jeff Goldblum, clad in Dr. Ian Malcolm’s iconic all-black outfit with the shirt entirely unbuttoned, in an effort to recreate his famous pose from the film.
Many have stopped for photos with the statue since it appeared Wednesday to reminisce about the film and Goldblum’s scene-stealing role, known for memorable one-liners like, “Life finds a way.”
25ft Jeff Goldblum statue pops up in London to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Jurassic Park, which was June 11th, a month ago. Also none of the movie was filmed in London nor is Jeff Goldblum a native of the English capital. So let's just bask in its nonsensical glory.
Like many hungry thriller fans, we positively devoured the premiere of HBO's Sharp Objects. Based on the novel by Gillian Flynn, the story follows a journalist named Camille who returns to her hometown to investigate a string of murders. Following the first episode, we were struck by one big thing: the recognizable cast! Sure, we're talking about Amy Adams and Chris Messina, who are reuniting after appearing in Julie and Julia together. But there's another very familiar face among the group that's a bit harder to place: Frank Curry, Camille's editor in St. Louis, Mo. If you were scratching your head trying to place where you've seen him, we're here to help.
Frank is played by Miguel Sandoval, a 66-year-old actor who hails from Washington DC. The most obvious place you may have seen him is on ABC's new Grey's Anatomy spinoff, Station 19.
