At the beginning of the film, Winnie hears Thackery peeking in the house. She looks out the window and says, "Oh look, another glorious morning..." Moments later, the town folk arrive to confront the sisters, and Mary exclaims they are "spending a quiet evening at home." See more »

When ITV showed the film at Easter 2001, the following scenes were cut out: the witches hanging, Max swinging a brach at Billy Butcherson and the subsequent loss of his head, the shot of Binx the cat flat after he's run over by the cat, Billy cutting open his mouth after he snatches the knife off Max, and Billy losing his head for a second time. The ending was also altered, cutting straight to the book's eyes opening, missing out the parents leaving the party, and Ernie and Jay still stranded in the witches house. See more »
I thought this movie was a good movie for the whole family. There is something for everyone in this movie.... singing, comedy, some action, very good music and thrills (for the younger audience). The director spiced the movie up with musical numbers by Sarah Jessica Parker and Bette Midler. There were also some good stars in the movie; Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler, and a young Thora Birch (she was so cute in this movie). It's terrible that the only score for this movie was a promo CD (which is very hard to find and very expensive if you do find it)... and not a soundtrack. I really hope that Disney or some company re-releases the DVD version of this great movie.
