Trivia

The kanji that accompanies the Gunnm title literally means "gun dream". This kanji compound would normally be read as "juu mu", but manga artist Yukito Kishiro used the English word "gun" (rendered as "gan") for the "gun" kanji. Therefore, the actual pronunciation of Gunnm is "Ganmu". See more »

Pretty great.

Overall, I would recommend watching this. The animation is pretty great and the story, though kind of rushed, it very interesting. The cyberpunk aesthetic is pulled off well, and I love the overall feel of the world.

Unfortunately, the version of this I found was the English dub. It was so unbelievably bad that it almost ruins the movie. I hope that I eventually find the original dub.
