Trivia

After the break up of N.W.H., Ice Cold formed his own group, the Ice Plant ( a parody of the group C&C Music Factory). Tone Def became a flower-child emcee (a reference to P.M. Dawn) and released a song similar to the group's signature hit "Set Adrift on Memory Bliss." Meanwhile, Tasty Taste also went solo and released several dis tracks ( a reference to the practice of some emcees at that time and was also practiced by the remaining N.W.A. members after Ice Cube went solo ). Goofs

Around the 12-minute mark, the group is talking backstage with security about how their manager got "capped". Then the manager is with them later in the film. See more »

Quotes

Nina Blackburn: They say it's the quiet ones that you have to watch out for.
Tasty Taste: And, if you've noticed, I ain't said shit for a couple minutes now.

Excellent

After a big tip of the hat to Spinal Tap, this movie is hilarious. Anyone who grew up watching MTV will love it and if you didn't, rent it anyway, the "My Peanuts" and "A Gangster's life" videos are worth the three bucks alone.
