Rumor: Ryan Reynolds Will Star In Sam Raimi’s ‘The Bermuda Triangle’

You may have wondered what happened to Sam Raimi? After all, the director’s filmography speaks for itself: “Evil Dead,” “Evil Dead 2,” “Army of Darkness,” “Darkman,” “Spider-Man,” “Spider-Man 2,” “Drag Me To Hell,” and, his best movie, 1998’s “A Simple Plan.” Last we heard from the writer-director was producing genre fare such as 2015’s excellent “Don’t Breathe.” However, as far as directing goes, Raimi hasn’t helmed a movie since 2013’s disappointing “Oz the Great and Powerful.” That’s five years without a movie for this venerable director that put a stamp on genre cinema for most of his career.

Army of Darkness Board Game Arrives to Fill Evil Dead Void

Dynamite Entertainment has announced something pretty groovy, as they're going to be making an Army Of Darkness board game. The news comes not long after Ash vs. Evil Dead was canceled by Starz, leaving a void to be filled. While we're sure to hear news of other on-screen projects in the future, this new tabletop game may very well help many fans fill the hole in their heart. Here's what Dynamite CEO Nick Barrucci had to say about it.

"Army of Darkness was the first license we signed at Dynamite and it still holds a very special place in our heart. So we couldn't think of a better, more exciting brand to use for our first miniatures game. We can't wait to show tabletop gamers and horror fans what we have planned!"

In Army of Darkness: The Board Game, players will take on the role of unlikely hero Ash Williams,

‘Ash vs Evil Dead 3×10: The Mettle of Man’ Review

Judgement Day is here, not only in story terms but also for Ash vs Evil Dead as a show. Fans of Evil Dead may be sad, but in truth it was inevitable, because shows as good as this rarely last long before burning out. The Mettle of Man finally (maybe) ends the Ash’s (Bruce Campbell) story, but is it a fitting one for such a pop culture icon?

With a sixty-foot Kandarian Demon destroying Elk Grove Ash, Pablo (Ray Santiago), and Brandy (Arielle Carver-o’Neill) fight to pull Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) back through the rift. After that, Ash must then face the demon to show if he truly is the hero that humanity needs to save it from destruction.

Ash is a horror character that has been with many fans all their lives. He is as iconic as Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, Jason Vorhees and any of the other horror characters that people worship.

Ash Vs. Evil Dead Season 4 Would Have Been Mad Max Meets Fallout With Robots

Last week it was announced that Starz had canceled Ash Vs. Evil Dead after three gloriously blood-drenched seasons. I loved this show and it was pretty disappointing to hear that it was canceled.

Had the series been picked up for a fourth Season Sam Raimi, Robert Tapert, and star Bruce Campbell had been developing it and they knew exactly where they wanted to take it. According to Bloody-Disgusting:

If “Ash vs. Evil Dead” had been blessed with a fourth season, it would have taken Ashy Slashy to the future. Think sci-fi post-apocalyptic, like Mad Max meets Fallout, only with…robots!

Now I'm even more bummed out that the show got canceled because I would have loved to see this! The report goes on to point out:

"Interestingly, this would have been the full leap into the much-desired Evil Dead 4, which was teased at the ending of Raimi’s initial cut of Army of Darkness.

Bruce Campbell says he’s “retired as Ash” following Ash vs. Evil Dead cancellation

Last week it was announced that Starz has pulled the plug on Ash vs. Evil Dead, with the show set to come to an end with its upcoming season three finale.

In the wake of the news, a fan campaign was launched urging Netflix or another service to come in and rescue the Evil Dead spinoff series. However, regardless of whether there’s any prospect of that, it seems we have seen the last of Bruce Campbell’s Ashley J. Williams, with the actor taking to Twitter to state that he is officially “retired as Ash”.

Big props to fans for the effort, but I’m retired as Ash. #timetofrysomeotherfish https://t.co/Di1aeBV0dl

— Bruce Campbell (@GroovyBruce) April 23, 2018

Campbell had previously teased that Ash could return in a fourth Evil Dead movie if Starz opted against a renewal, but it now seems like that option is off the table,

‘Ash vs. Evil Dead 3×07: Twist and Shout’ Review

With this season of Ash vs Evil Dead, I have constantly worried that there would be a plot point which would constantly be returned to, and that is the trust that Ash’s (Bruce Campbell) daughter has in him. This week we see my worries confirmed, that we’d go straight back to this theme. The question is does it ruin the story, or does it handle it better than expected.

Brandy (Arielle Carver-o’Neill) decides that she wants to go to the school dance and knowing that Ruby (Lucy Lawless) will be there, Ash decides to go too. With Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) to protect Brandy, Ash finds himself fighting the evil version of himself to protect Brandy. Pablo (Ray Santiago) makes a discovery about the Rift that reveals to him that Kelly is not all she seems.

With the real Kelly stuck beyond the Rift we know that Brandy is in danger,

‘Ash vs. Evil Dead 3×06: Tales From the Rift’ Review

If there is one thing that I’ve wondered about the third season of Ash vs Evil Dead, it has to be the question of just what is going on? We see plenty of action, plenty of details on Ruby’s (Lucy Lawless) plans, but no firm path for the season. The question is, will we get it this week..?

Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) finally loses it and goes after Ruby, putting herself in a dangerous situation. Ash (Bruce Campbell) meanwhile finds himself stuck with another group of the Knights of Sumeria who enlist him and Pablo (Ray Santiago) on a quest to open a rift to the world of the dead.

If previous episodes in the third season of Ash vs Evil Dead have been about building up a story, this week the focus is on action. This is where we see the show doing what it does best, especially

‘Ash vs. Evil Dead 3×05: Baby Proof’ Review

In horror there is certain territory that is hard to encroach on, and children is one of them. This week Ash vs Evil Dead brings a toddler into the horror in a way that is shockingly good and brings back memories of Army of Darkness.

While Ash (Bruce Campbell) is dealing with the baby from hell, Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) and Brandy (Arielle Carver-o’Neill) deal with the possessed Pablo (Ray Santiago). While all seems lost, it is only when Pablo accepts his destiny that the tide starts to turn against Ruby (Lucy Lawless) and her demonic plans.

The fight with Ash vs the toddler from hell at first feels risky, but one that first reluctance to see a child in that type of scene subsides, it becomes more fun. It is obvious of course that there are many tricks used to making it appear that the child is in the scene,

Bruce Campbell says we could get Evil Dead 4 if Ash vs Evil Dead isn’t renewed

For a while back in 2013, it seemed as though we might get the long-rumoured fourth instalment in the original Evil Dead series, with Sam Raimi revealing that he was planning on developing a script for Army of Darkness 2.

While the movie never materialised, we did get to see Raimi returning to the series – and Bruce Campbell returning to his role as Ash – for the TV series Ash vs Evil Dead, and speaking to EW to promote the third season, Campbell has hinted that Evil Dead 4 could be revived if the show isn’t renewed by Starz.

“We won’t know till the middle of March,” said Campbell when asked about a potential season four renewal. “We’re in the horrible television limbo right now. We’re going to see what the TV gods have in store for us. We’re ready either way. If they take us off the air,

Evil Dead 4 May Happen If Ash Vs Evil Dead Gets Canceled

Evil Dead 4 May Happen If Ash Vs Evil Dead Gets Canceled
Could another Evil Dead movie happen? It's important not to get too ahead of ourselves, but according to Bruce Campbell, there's a way in which such a thing could. Currently, Ash vs Evil Dead is airing its third season on Starz, but there's no certainty that the series will continue beyond season 3. That being the case, Campbell reveals that Evil Dead 4, sometimes referred to as Army of Darkness 2, could be in the cards if Starz doesn't give the green light to Ash Vs. Evil Dead season 4.

Ash vs Evil Dead is very much in the same spirit as the third Evil Dead movie, Army of Darkness, which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. And TV seems to be a very good home for Ash and the world of Evil Dead. That said, ratings are important and Starz may not feel that doing Ash vs Evil Dead season 4 is ultimately worth it.

Bruce Campbell Says If Ash Vs. Evil Dead Gets Cancelled They Might Make Another Movie

Fans seem to be loving Ash Vs. Evil Dead, I know I am! It's been amazing to see them push the boundaries as they continue telling the story of Ash and his battle with the deadites. They've done some insanely crazy shit in this series and it's been extremely entertaining.

I hope this series doesn't end anytime soon, but if it does, there's a good chance that we might actually see director Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell make another movie. During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly as he is talking about Ash Vs. Evil Dead Season 3, he's asked about the possibility of Season 4 and he replied:

"We won’t know till the middle of March. We’re in the horrible television limbo right now."

He's then asked if we will ever see another Evil Dead movie and in regards to that, he says:

"We’re going to see what

Bruce Campbell Says Another Film Is Possible If Ash Vs. Evil Dead Ends

Even with Ash vs. Evil Dead still kicking all kinds of ass, one can never be too sure of the longevity of any given series. Really, decisions regarding renewals and cancellations are ultimately up to the networks themselves, so all we the viewers can ever do is to keep on watching and hope for the best.

Still, even with serialized formats allowing for broader storytelling and more character development, fans clamor for a fourth entry set in the original Evil Dead timeline of films. In fact, the demand has been there since after Army of Darkness had its run, but nothing ever came to fruition.

The possibility for another theatrical outing exists, though, but it’s contingent on the fate of the currently running series. For more on that front, check out what Bruce Campbell had to say in a recent discussion with Entertainment Weekly:

“We won’t know [if we’ve been renewed] till the middle of March.
