Trivia
A spin-off or re-vamping of the sitcom The Torkelsons (1991). Other than the change in setting, the cast also shrank. In "The Torkelsons", there were five children, Dorothy Jane, Steven Floyd, Chuckie Lee, Mary Sue, and Ruth Ann. When they migrated to "Almost Home", there were now three, Dorothy Jane, Chuckie Lee, and Mary Sue. No explanation was given as to the whereabouts of Steven Floyd and Ruth Ann.

Almost Home was a hilarious sitcom that should have lasted longer than just 13 episodes. But that's just the way TV works ,I guess. I mean they'll cancel the down-to-earth funny sitcoms after a few eps but they allow cheap crap shows like Full House to run for 8 seasons. I am probably one of the few people who remember this show and the one that came before it (The Torkelsons, another wonderful, down-to-earth show). I miss these 2 shows. They used to show reruns on the Disney Channel of both shows, but they stopped that, I think.
