Trivia

Writer and Director Ron Shelton wrote the first thirty-seven pages in one night until things came to a complete halt, "It was written very fast", he explains , "I was trying to figure out what Gloria's thing was. It had to be so unconnected from the guys. Because that's big for me, to make sure that the women aren't defined in terms of the guy business." After he heard someone discussing their friend's aspiration to get on Jeopardy! (1984), the final piece was in place. "There's no logic to it -- it's sort of the Hollywood dream." See more »

Funny, Wacky and Friendly

Wesley and Woody are great together. Perez is a plus. You don't have to be a fan of the game to love this movie. It's fast paced, funny and if you are a fan of hoops then you are in Basketball movie heaven. Hustle out to the video store and rent yourself a copy. The film also has more Mama jokes than you can shake a stick at.
