    Storyline

    Edit
Two Arkansas firemen, Vince and Don, get hold of a map that leads to a cache of stolen gold in an abandoned factory in East St. Louis. What they don't know is that the factory is in the turf of a local gang, who come by to execute one of their enemies. Vince sees the shooting, the gang spots Vince, and extended mayhem ensues. As Vince and Don try to escape, gang leader King James argues with his subordinate Savon about how to get rid of the trespassers. —Jesse Garon <grifter@primenet.com>

    Edit
    • Trivia
Walter Hill said of the film, "I wanted to make a down-and-dirty thriller. I wanted to shoot it in a fast, hard style. I wanted to work off the cuff, making it all happen right there."
    • Goofs
1990s cell phones were far less powerful than those of the 21st century. While it is a cleaver idea to use them as walkie talkies, the fact their signals would have be transmitted outside of the factory and then back in to be received as well the extant metal inside the building would have rendered them nearly useless.
    • Quotes

Vince: Look, I don't wanna get in the middle of no big gang hassle!

Savon: Gang? You think we some punk ass gang?

King James: I am a businessman. These are my associates.

    The Intelligent action movie
It seems that it is impossible to have a movie that is completely action orientated, yet be highly intelligent. But Trespass has done this very well. It puts together a group of characters in a difficult situation with which you get to see them react to their circumstances in a fresh and realistic way.

I was very impressed with Ice-T who gave an extremely convincing performance as the leader of the criminals.

This film is excellent and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who would like to see an action movie done right!
