Two college students get a summer job on an offshore oil rig. They are soon approached by a co-worker who had earlier befriended them, and who now tries to draw them into a plot to murder the rig's crew chief.

An extract from Radio Times by Adrian Turner of A Taste for Killing (1992), mentions previous films which Michael Biehn and Henry Thomas starred in as follows: "Biehn, a veteran of James Cameron movies such as The Terminator, Aliens, and The Abyss is a persuasive bad guy, while Thomas (Elliot in E. T.) and Bateman make the most of their leading roles". Incidentally, all of the previous films are in the sci-fi genre. Turner gave his review two out of five stars meaning could be worse. See more
