The ending of this marvelous film is well worth the wait.

Students are being tutored. Some are young, some are not so young. Some are

English and some aren't. Some are being tutored in poetry, some in pronunciation, etc. Against this backdrop, someone is using a knife to butcher the local hookers.

The always excellent Janet McTeer is a tutor. She is a somewhat secretive and private person. One of her young pupils is infatuated with her. He stalks her. He has a knife. Is he the butcher?

Another tutor has an invalid wife. He's interested in Janet McTeer. Is he the butcher?

The owner of the tutoring firm is a randy sort of a guy. Is he the butcher?

A word of caution. Do not be misled by the extensive character development. The ending of this film is so stunning that I recommend you install a seatbelt on you chair to avoid injury at the end.

I gave it a 10.
