Alternate Versions

In the 2004 Platinum Edition release and current releases, in addition to some graphical enhancements, the ending credits are sped up to contain restoration credits. After the End Title Duet "A Whole New World" (Aladdin's Theme) is over and the credits are finished, Genie has an extra goodbye line over the closing logo.
In the 2015 Diamond Edition Blu-ray/DVD/Digital HD release, the original 1990 Walt Disney Pictures logo was replaced by the 2011 Disney logo.
Theatrical version for the opening Arabian Nights song originally had the lines "Where they cut off your ear, if they don't like your face". But the line was changed to "Where it's flat and immense, and the heat is intense." for all home video releases due to controversy from Arab groups who called the line racist.
The original 1992 theatrical release contained the line "Good tiger, take off and go", which was spoken by Aladdin when Rajah is growling at him. However, after the film was released on home video, many began to speculate that the line was actually "Good teenagers take off their clothes", meant as a subliminal message. In the 2004 Platinum Edition release, this line was edited out due to controversy. It has since been added back in the 2015 Diamond Edition release.
