Neither Irish nor a waif

Not an Irish 'waif' - but strapping fine young Cumbrian woman played by an Irish actress.

I remember Ms. Kirwen saying how she had studied the accents on Coronation Street in preparation for the part - ah but sure, that's not the accent in Cumbria at all, at all.

There were one lass in the film, no doubt a local, she only had to say two words - He's upstairs - to recognize the accent.

'Tis one of the hardest English accents to replicate.

The series was twaddle but entertaining enough. Engrossing for such as myself able to recognize the various locations
