Detectives King and Paretsky are a pair of female homicide detectives (the only ones, in fact), stationed at an out- of-the-way station in the bad part of Chicago. The show primarily played off the 'buddy' aspect of the characters, as King was a college-educated black woman on the fast track, while Paretsky was a working-class white single mother. In addition the two also had to deal with the Neanderthal attitudes of the male officers in their station.Written by

I only saw the first episode of this. Remarkably bald-faced propaganda that only a complete imbecile could conceivably stomach. This was the stupidest TV show I had ever seen up to that time, owing mostly to the leftist shibboleths it was promulgating, but such crap became commonplace as the '90s unfolded and US culture devolved. Still, I would be hard pressed to name a more ridiculous show.
Worth watching just to witness the sheer nerve of the PC BS they were pushing.
No show was ever more deserving of the ignominious ratings death this one suffered.
